What changed for Chaat House

The challenge

Already packed. Still leaving money out.

Chaat House, the sister brand to Dosa House under the same Seattle ownership, was a healthy restaurant in its own right, driven by loyal regulars, strong word-of-mouth, and packed weekends. No paid spend. No acquisition engine.

The food, the location, and the brand had earned real equity in Seattle's South Indian dining scene. But there was a hard ceiling on organic-only growth, and a wide-open gap on catering, where every high-AOV search was converting elsewhere.

The product was already great. The visibility layer was the lever.

01

No Paid Acquisition

100% organic dependency. Zero capture of high-intent diner and catering searches across the Seattle metro.

02

Catering Going to Competitors

High-AOV catering and event queries were converting on other restaurants. Chaat House had no visibility on the most lucrative searches.

03

No Frequency Layer

Website visitors had no follow-up touchpoint. Local audiences outside the regular base had zero brand recall.

04

Plateaued Organic Ceiling

Monthly revenue had stabilized. No structural reason for growth without adding a new acquisition channel.

Our approach

Two channels. One compounding engine.

Google Search to capture high-intent diners and catering queries. Meta to build frequency and retarget warm audiences. A closed loop that compounded month over month.

01

High-Intent Demand Capture

Google Search ads on "Indian restaurant Seattle", "chaat near me", "South Indian food Seattle", and catering queries. Placed Chaat House in front of buyers ready to order, book, or cater, without cannibalizing Dosa House's keyword set.

02

Catering-Specific Targeting

Dedicated campaigns for high-AOV catering queries: corporate orders, party trays, large events. Different intent, different bidding, different creative. The biggest single-order revenue lever in the business.

03

Meta Awareness + Retargeting

Layered Meta to build local Seattle-metro frequency and retarget website visitors. Extended reach beyond pure search intent and held the revenue floor through Q4 seasonality.

The results

8 months. +51% every month.

Peak Performance Month

How it unfolded

Timeline

5 phases
1

Jan-Apr: Organic Baseline

Established a 4-month organic baseline. No paid spend. Pure regulars, walk-ins, and word-of-mouth. The benchmark we’d measure everything against.

2

May: Google Ads Launch

Launched Google Search campaigns on high-intent diner and catering keywords. First month delivered a +22% lift over baseline, proof of channel viability inside 30 days.

3

Jun-Aug: Momentum Builds

Bid optimization and keyword expansion drove monthly lift from +22% to +45% to +65%. Catering campaigns started compounding into the AOV mix.

4

October: Peak Month

Hit +66% lift over baseline, an all-time monthly high. Scaled spend on the highest-performing catering clusters with ROAS holding above 60×.

5

Nov-Dec: Meta Added · Floor Held

Layered Meta awareness and retargeting to hold the post-October floor. Sustained +50-57% lift through Q4 despite seasonal softness in dine-in.
