What changed for Dosa House

The challenge

Already good. Could be great.

Dosa House was already a healthy business, driven entirely by organic word-of-mouth, repeat diners, and walk-ins. No ads. No paid channels. No acquisition engine.

The product was strong, the location worked, and the brand had real local equity. But there was a ceiling on organic-only growth, and a visible gap between what the restaurant could be doing and what it actually was.

Catering, in particular, was an untapped revenue lever. High-AOV orders sitting on the table while every catering search query went to a competitor.

01

No Paid Acquisition

100% organic dependency. Zero paid capture of high-intent diner and catering searches in the Seattle market.

02

Catering Demand Going Elsewhere

High-AOV catering queries were converting on competitor restaurants. Dosa House had no visibility on these searches.

03

No Retargeting Layer

Website visitors and warm audiences had no follow-up touchpoint. Frequency was zero outside the dine-in moment.

04

Hard Organic Ceiling

Monthly revenue had stabilized. No structural reason for growth without a new channel. The plateau was real.

Our approach

Two channels. One compounding engine.

We layered Google Search to capture high-intent diners and catering queries, then added Meta to build frequency and retarget warm audiences, creating a closed loop on top of the existing organic base.

01

High-Intent Demand Capture

Google Search ads on “Indian restaurant Seattle”, “dosa near me”, and catering queries. Put Dosa House in front of buyers actively ready to order or book, the highest-converting traffic on the internet.

02

Catering-Specific Targeting

Dedicated campaigns for high-AOV catering queries: corporate orders, party trays, large bookings. Different intent, different bidding, different creative. Big single-order revenue lever.

03

Meta Awareness + Retargeting

Added Meta from Month 5 to build local frequency and retarget website visitors. Extended reach beyond pure search intent and held the revenue floor through Q4.

The results

8 months. +35% every month.

Peak Performance Month

How it unfolded

Timeline

5 phases
1

Jan-Apr: Organic Baseline

Established a 4-month organic baseline. No paid spend. Pure word-of-mouth, repeat customers, and walk-in traffic. The benchmark we’d measure everything against.

2

May: Google Ads Launch

Launched Google Search campaigns on high-intent diner and catering keywords. First month delivered a +26% lift over baseline, proof of channel viability inside 30 days.

3

Jun-Jul: Momentum Builds

Bid optimization and keyword expansion drove monthly lift from +26% to +40% to +51%. Catering campaigns started compounding into the AOV mix.

4

August: Peak Month

Hit +58% lift over baseline, all-time monthly revenue high. Scaled spend on the highest-performing clusters with ROAS holding above 35×.

5

Sep-Dec: Meta Added · Floor Held

Layered Meta awareness and retargeting to hold the post-summer floor. Sustained +25-30% lift through Q4 despite seasonal softness in dine-in.
